2 Days..

Province of Pichincha.

Depending on the Demand (2 / 30).

AthayalaThe Ríos Toachi and Blanco are a fantastic introduction to the rivers of Ecuador.

They are flowing along the Andes’ coastal side and have some of the longest controllable whitewater parts in the country. Combined with the views and the sounds of the forest surroundings, which we pass, it is guaranteed that we will have a day full of memories!

Day 1:      We will pick you up from your hotel or our meeting point the Crossroads Café and Hostal (6:30 am at the corner Foch and Juán León Mera). Our journey takes us through the beautiful cloud forest to the banks of the river (ca. 3 hours). Before we start, you will be equipped with life vests and helmets. You will also be thoroughly informed about all safety issues and the necessary paddle techniques. As soon as we hit the river, you can expect the excitement of the whitewater parts, as well as the tranquility of drifting on the river, enjoying the spectacular scenery of the tropical rain forest. Accordingly, it is guaranteed that you will get wet; nevertheless, you will also be able to listen to the sounds of the forest, and be able to enjoy the wildlife from very close by, from our mobile “viewing-platform”. (Rafting time ca. 3 ½ hours) During the trip we will stop at the river banks at noon to have a great picnic, fresh tropical fruits, juice, water and soft drinks included. At the end of our trip we celebrate the day with a few cool beers and settle into our hosteria at the river – the sound of the water and the memories of the great adventure still in our minds. In the afternoon, if there is time, we will do a hike in the surrounding rainforest, or simply relax at the pool. In the evening we can relive our experiences of the day, while enjoying a delicious dinner and a few celebratory drinks.

Day 2:     We return for more whitewater-adventure, but will also have the chance to breathe in some air and admire the beautiful scenery. Return to Quito (ca. 18:30-19:00).

Professional guide, perfect rafting equipment, accommodation in double huts, lunch (day 1 and day 2), snacks, beer to celebrate the day, transportation from Quito and a save trip with a lot of fun!.
