The Hoaorani community is one of the last wild nomad tribes of the Ecuadorian Amazon. Their territory is located within the Yasuní National Park, an area almost untouched by man.

    1. Day1 Visit the Yasuni

      45 minutes flight from Quito to Coca. Reception by our staff in the city of Coca (Francisco de Orellana). Ride by bus 3 hours to the Huaorani-village Tiguino, situated in the Pastaza Province, Lunch, navigation 3 hours, downstream in canoe by motor on the Tiguino river. On the way we have the opportunity to see parrots, toucans and monkeys. Welcome cocktail and Dinner in the lodge.

    2. Day2 Visit the Yasuni

      Breakfast, navigation of 2 hours. Trek of 4-5 hours in the jungle accompanied by a guide and a native guide. We have the chance to learn about the flora and fauna and the Huaorani culture and their various medicinal plants. Lunch in the forest. Navigation of 1 hour, till we get to our campsite. Dinner and overnight in tents.

    3. Day3 Visit the Yasuni

      1 hour navigation, and 5 hours trek in the jungle where we have the chance to see birds and mammals. Lunch. In the afternoon we will install our camp (tents) at the river Tiguino. Dinner and a night tour to observe insects and other nocturnal animals.

    4. Day4 Visit the Yasuni

      Early Breakfast. Navigation 4 hours downstream the river Cononaco. Then a trek of 4 and a half until we get to Bameno, on the Cononaco riverbank. This is the last Huaorani village, which did integrate in our civilization. It’s a village that still holds on to its culture but could not stop the big inventions of our culture and the oil companies. Dinner and overnight in tents.

    5. Day5 Visit the Yasuni

      In the morning we spend visiting their homes, looking how they live, how they use their blowguns, make their hammoks and getting in touch with this nice group of warriors. In the late morning we go for a 3 hours hike in the forest, accompanied by our Huaorani warriors, and learn how to use the blowgun in their ancient way of hunting. Good chances to observe monkeys, Macaws, and toucans. Probably also the Indians are going to hunt a couple of monkeys for themselves. In the night we will see the ceremony of the shaman ( medical doctor), in the way he heals his patients and participate in the ritual songs. Dinner, cocktail by a campfire at the camp site.

    6. Day6 Visit the Yasuni

      Breakfast. Today we have the longest drive on our boats 8 hours aproximately, this is the time that we need to drive from Bameno back to the Lodge in Tiguino. Box lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight in the Lodge.

    7. Day7 Visit the Yasuni

      Breakfast. Early in the morning we will navigate on the river Tiguino by row-canoe for about 2 hours. Later we have an excursion to our canopy observation tower of aproximately 40 mts. height where the guide and the native guide explain about the various plants and animals who exist in this altitude. Return to the lodge. Lunch. In the afternoon possibility to go sport-fishing and paddle in our dugout canoes in the nearby lake by the lodge. Dinner and a farewell cocktail.

    8. Day8 Visit the Yasuni

      Very early breakfast 4:30 am, and 3 hours drive to the bridge of Jivino, to continue our bus trip of 2  hours to Coca, in time to get our plane to Quito. Transfer to the Hotel Quito. Free afternoon.

    9. Day9 Visit the Yasuni

      This day as an optional tour, we can visit the famous Indian market of Otavalo ( known for the handicrafts), or make a city tour combined with the visit to the Equator monument. Farewell dinner at La Ronda restaurant, known for his excellent ambient, cuisine, so as his alive folkloric music.
